The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced that the country's footballers will be paid 500 million won, or 526,000 U.S. dollars, each in a special bonus if they win the World Cup finals.

South Korea's championship bonus ranks third among the 32 World Cup finalists, following Spain and England, KFA officials said.

The South Korean squad will be paid 100 million won each in case of their advance to the second round, while the quarterfinals and semifinals bonuses were set at 200 million won and 300 million won, respectively, the KFA said.
