Polish security ready for World Cup

Polish security services are ready for the approaching World Cup soccer finals in Germany, Poland's prime minister Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz assured Monday in Zielona Gora (western city of Poland) at a meeting with local police officials.

Police in Poland's German-bordering districts have been reinforced to strengthen security during fan transports to the championship,Marcinkiewicz was quoted as saying by polish news agency PAP.

Polish police chief Marek Bienkowski informed that 68 Polish policemen will be detailed to the championship to help their German colleagues.

Marcinkiewicz said Polish security services were well-prepared for their tasks during the championship.
