Despite not having a representative to fly the Zimbabwean flag at the coming
World Cup, Zimbabweans have been already itching to watch the world premier
football showcase in Germany.
The two premier players in television in Zimbabwe have started to cash in on
local World Cup fever, with Supersport laying out its strategy and all it will
offer.
MultiChoice Zimbabwe Marketing Executive Kirsty Brien said on Monday that the
soccer-crazy Zimbabweans can enjoy watching the games courtesy of DStv sports
channels on Supersport with all games to be televised live.
"We are going to host player and team profiles, live games, replays and a
menu to satisfy every soccer appetite," Brien said.
"Besides, the television company will hold a number of competitions with
various stakeholders in order to involve our viewers," she said.
The Zimbabwean newspapers have also promised to outdo each other during the
tournament. The sports editor of the prime Sunday Mail sports pages, Goodwill
Zunidza, promised the best coverage over the period
