The Manchester United midfielder sustained the injury in a collision with Lee Young-pyo during a five-on-five training game at Glasgow Rangers' training ground, Murray Park.

Coach Dick Advocaat, who managed Rangers from 1998-2002, has been given permission to use the extensive training complex to complete South Korea's build-up for their World Cup campaign, which begins on June 13 against Togo in Frankfurt.

Korea will also play France and Switzerland in Group G.

"At the moment, it looks like he has sprained his left ankle," team doctor Kim Hyun-chul was quoted as saying by Yonhap news agency on Wednesday.

Park's injury is the second such problem to hit the Korean camp this week after defensive midfielder Kim Nam-il went down with an injured right ankle in training on Monday.

Kim, Park and Trabzonspor's Lee Eul-yong are expected to form a three-man midfield in Advocaat's starting line-up.

Goalkeeper Lee Woon-jae told a news conference Park's ankle would be looked at on Wednesday to determine the extent of the damage.

"Park said it didn't feel that painful," he said.

"But coach Advocaat will assess the situation before deciding whether he can take part against Norway."

South Korea will also play Ghana in a warm-up in Edinburgh on June 4 before departing for Germany on June 6.
