Norway ties Paraguay 2-2

OSLO, Norway - Frode Johnsen scored his second goal of the match in the 61st minute Wednesday, helping Norway salvage a 2-2 draw against World Cup-bound Paraguay in a friendly.

Johnsen also scored in the 22nd minute, heading the ball past Paraguay goalkeeper Justo Villar.

Paraguay captain Carlos Gamarra tied it with another header three minutes into the second half, and Nelson Haedo Valdez put Paraguay ahead in the 54th after a long pass from Edgar Barreto.

Paraguay is in Group B at the World Cup in Germany with England, Sweden and Trinidad and Tobago. On Saturday, Paraguay plays Denmark in Copenhagen.

Norway did not qualify for the World Cup, losing to the Czech Republic in a playoff. Norway last reached the final tournament in 1998, advancing to the second round. The Norwegians failed to make the 2002 tournament in South Korea and Japan.
