Yao Ming has failed to make the Houston Rockets' all-time best team in a recent ESPN online.

The reigning Rockets' center has lagged behind NBA greats, such as Moses Malone, Hakeem Olajuwan and Ralph Sampson.

The star-studded list reflects Houston's tradition of fielding outstanding centers.

Yao's team mate Tracy McGrady was voted one of the best forwards, joining the ranks of greats like Rudy Tomjanovich, the five-time All-Star player.

Calvin Murphy leads the group of guards which includes Kenny Smith and Sam Cassell, members of the '94 and '95 teams that won the NBA title back to back.
