China U-20 beat Japan 2-0 at friendly (Xinhua) Updated: 2006-04-27 08:26 China under 20 (U20) national football team downed
Japan thanks to hitman Wang Yongpo's brace at an international friendly on
Wednesday.
Shan Dong Luneng's striker Wang Yongpo poked in a fine cross
from midfielder Hao Junmin on 20 minutes and added the second 17 minutes before
the final whistle to seal victory for the hosts.
China controlled both
halves, and wasted several good chances to score in front of an incomplete Japan
side which missed several key players due to their J-league club
duty.
Both teams take this match as a warm-up for the AFC Youth
Championship, which will be on show in India from October 29 to November 12.
China are in Group B with the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and Australia.
