Chinese international defender Du Wei has voiced serious concern over his future at Celtic.

Du Wei worried about Celtic roleThe 24-year-old who left Macau for Shanghai Monday has just grabbed the gold medal with his national team in East Asian Games football final against South Korea, .

Du has not played for Gordon Strachan's side since joining in August.

"Being honest, attending the East Asian Games reflects my future at Celtic in some way," he told the Mail on Sunday.

"The key point is that I don't know what will happen after I come back from the national team."

Du Wei signed on a four-year deal but there is a clause which gives Celtic the opportunity to send him back to Shanghai Shenhua in January if he fails to impress.

"Celtic will make a decision whether I can stay in the early part of next year, so it is a very important period for me to show myself to the club," added Du Wei.

"I will try my best when I go back."
