Credit Swiss publishes research outcome

Credit Swiss, one of the world's leading financial conglomerates, has introduced its latest achievement in research and development into China's financial market by publishing a Chinese version of the universal banking tool "Bank Type of the Future." Hans-Ulrich Doerig, author and vice-chairman of the group, said the book provides advice and expertise on the possible transformation of Chinese banks into modern commercial banks.

Siemens trains local talent

Siemens (China) recently clinched a deal with Peking University that will see the local talent at the prestigious school as part of a strategy to boost the multinational's localization in China.

The introduction of the Beijing International MBA (Master of Business Administration) at Peking University (BiMBA) programme will largely elevate the management capabilities of the company's local staff, according to Siemens.

SHANGHAI

City hosts IC fair

IC China 2003, China's first comprehensive exhibition covering the industrial chain of integrated circuits (IC), including designing, manufacturing, packaging and testing, opens today in Shanghai Mart. The show is organized by the China Semiconductor Industry Association and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. It has attracted more than half of the 615 IC enterprises in China to attend.
