Everlasting recollections

Li Xiaoke's print exhibition is titled Trails - The Immortal Memory of Tibet.

Li has traveled to Tibet more than 20 times over the past decades, taking tens of thousands of photographs. Starting from 2007, Li has printed reproductions of these photographs. The scenes include images of Buddha, honest local people, mysterious snow mountains, vast landscapes and festival celebrations.

"The pure, magnificent and dusky scenes and the sincere, hospitable people of Tibet deeply touched me," says Li. "In these materialistic times, Tibet's natural scenery and the people's pursuit of a pure and simple life cleanses my soul. Tibet is such a beautiful and mysterious land that people are reluctant to leave. I try to get closer to it, yet it is still distant."
