Red flags were waved, folk songs were sung and battles were fought in Jinggangshan at the National Center for the Performing Arts. Performed by the Song and Dance Ensemble of Jiangxi province, the show portrayed the history of soldiers' lives in Jinggangshan, Jiangxi province, and praised their spirit and perseverance.

The show was the final curtain for "performances devoted to our Motherland", launched by the ministries of culture and publicity. Starting in June this year, 113 shows from 31 provinces and regions were presented in Beijing's theaters, with more than 300,000 people enjoying the shows, which ranged from operas to concerts and dances by various ethnic groups in China.
