"Hong He" to vie for Valentine's box office

[Photo: sina.com] The China-U.S. joint venture 'Hong He', helmed by director Zhang Jiarui, will open in Chinese theatres around the Valentine's Day to battle with 'Australia' and 'Cape No. 7' at the box office. Set in a China-Vietnam border town in the 1990s, the movie pays tribute to the Vietnam War-affected people through a haunting, tragic love story between a Vietnamese girl and a young Chinese man. 'Rush Hour 3' actress Zhang Jingchu plays A Tao, the Vietnamese girl who was suffered a mental collapse after seeing her family killed during the war. |
