Janet Jackson will start trying for a baby after her tour. The 'Together Again' singer and record producer Jermaine Dupri - who have been dating since 2002 - are eager to start a family once Janet's run of shows finishes later this year.

When asked if the couple want to have children, Jermaine replied: "Yeah, soon. Right after the tour." Jermaine - who has a daughter, Shaniah, from a previous relationship - believes Janet, 42, will make a fantastic mother and he can't wait to start trying for a family.

He added to People magazine: "It really doesn't matter if we have a boy or a girl. Janet would be a great mom. She was around so many brothers and sisters all her life, so she's got to know what that is like.

And her mom is a great mother." Jermaine also revealed Janet is a good listener and offers him her full support whenever he needs it. He explained: "The greatest thing in life is just to have a friend. When I have problems in life, I share them with her. When she has a problem, she comes to me." It has been claimed the couple are planning to secretly marry in an intimate ceremony in France early next year.

A source said: "They want a very simple wedding in Paris with the Eiffel Tower as the backdrop. The wedding won't be extravagant, but they do want their families and friends to be there."
