Janet Jackson has admitted she may never retire.
Speaking to Ebony magazine, the 41-year-old said she had considered ending her career but her love for music convinced her to carry on working.
"I'm not ready to retire. I enjoy what I do and I don't think it is time for me to kick back on an island and do nothing all day," Janet said.
"I don't want to do that just yet. I don't know if I'll ever be ready to do that. I love music."
Jackson's album Discipline recently topped the US album chart, her sixth LP to do so.
The record was less successful in the UK, entering the album chart at number 63 earlier this month.
