Actress Reese Witherspoon uses movie roles to vent her anger at her enemies - and believes her successful career is the 'ultimate revenge'.

But the Oscar-winning 31-year-old insists she saves her anger for the big screen, as she often lands the part of "tough" women.

She says, "I probably would be (vengeful) if I didn't get to work out all my aggression in films. I often play tough characters and beat people up.

"The ultimate revenge for an actor is saying to yourself, 'Ha, ha, you'll see! I'm going to be a successful actor and you'll be sorry you didn't invite me to the prom!' That sort of thing."
