Actress King charged up for killer thriller

LOS ANGELES - Actress Jaime King, who turned to film in such projects as "Sin City and "Pearl Harbor," is starring in "The Pardon," an indie period drama based on true events.

King plays Toni Jo Henry, the first and only woman to be executed on the electric chair by the state of Louisiana. Jason Lewis co-stars.

Filming is under way in Shreveport, La. Tom Anton is directing from a script he co-wrote with Sandi Russell.

King most recently completed the horror movie "They Wait." She next appears in the "Star Wars"-themed January, 2008, release "Fanboys."
