New Delhi: God seems to have finally smiled on the fate of a documentary film as it gets the backing of none other than Hollywood stars Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman.

Brangelina were joined by Nicole Kidman for the Los Angeles premiere of God Grew Tired of Us on Monday evening.

Filmed at a refugee camp in Kenya in 2001, the documentary by Christopher Quinn trails the lives of three "lost boys" of Sudan as they make a new home for themselves in America.

It's about the five-year-long journey they took along with 20,000 other orphans to cross the border of Sudan only to reach a refugee camp.

Pitt dons the executive producer's hat for this film narrated by Nicole Kidman.

"You believe that all men should be equal. Well, all men and women should be equal, but certainly weren't born equal, and then you see how little it takes to even change a life - not even a dent in our economy in any way, and you wonder why we don't have more of a focus on it," says Pitt.

Adds Jolie, "There's so much hatred these days, there's so much discomfort with people from other countries that we don't know and people that are foreign to us, and I think everybody should know why people flee, why people cross a border. It's not just for economic reasons, some people are really running for their lives and have been through horrific things."

God grew tired of Us made it's debut at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival where it won the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award in the documentary films category.

The documentary film opens in Los Angeles and New York on January 12, 2007.
