There was a ceremony in the factory of Beijing Benz Automotive, in Beijing's Economic Technological Development Area, or E-town, on Dec 26, to recognize its outstanding workers and technicians for the past year and to announce the beginning of a training program organized in cooperation with Tsinghua University.

There were 30 technicians being honored, who had gotten awards from global, national, and city competitions previously. All of the company's senior technicians are qualified for the program, which is for car manufacturing and technology innovation and was designed to advance company personnel.
