Under the guidance of China Manufacturing 2015 put forward by the central government in 2015, South China's Guangdong is pursuing stronger development in the province's manufacturing industry.

As the capital city, Guangzhou made the year 2017 as the strong starting of its goal as a pilot and demonstration city of China Manufacturing 2025 project.

According to Diao Ai’ming, deputy secretary of Guangzhou people’s government, hi-tech manufacturing industry is playing an increasingly support and motivation role on the city’s industrial development.

"The city's manufacturing industry has established into a relatively completed system, with a total production value of 1.96 trillion yuan ($286 billion), of which 54 percent are from hi-tech manufacturing businesses."

The healthy investment environment in Guangzhou has attracted a number of enterprises such as Foxconn, Cisco, and AsinLnfo, giants in big data industry, with Foxconn invested 6.1 billion yuan.

According to local report, Guangzhou government is going to set up industrial fund for key high-end innovative projects on fileds including artificial intelligence and new-energy vehicles, to build Guangzhou into a demonstration city of innovative development mode.
