A brief introduction of Jiangmen

Jiangmen, situated in south central Guangdong province, is geographically connected to Foshan to the east, Yangjiang to the west, Yunfu to the north, and relatively close to Hong Kong and Macao. It covers an area of 9,541 square kilometers, with a population of 4.1 million.

Lying on the west bank of the estuary of the Pearl River, Jiangmen boasts 96 islets, with a coastline reaching 329 kilometers. The city falls into tropical marine climatic zone, with an annual average temperature of around 22 C.

Thanks to its advantageous geographic position, the city has always been a leader in economic development, having been selected as a pilot city for a national information programme by the state council, as well as a trial city for the Regional Integration for Sustainable Economics project by the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council.

Given the area's wealth of unique natural resources, Jiangmen also has a good foundation for tourism, winning numerous national honors including the top tourist city, the National Garden City and a model city for environmental protection.

The city gate is always open for visits and investment.
