Singapore presents new opportunities for building the Maritime Silk Road

A promotion conference of Singapore was held on schedule at the 12th CAEXPO on Sept 19, attracting participants who represented the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) and the business community.

The 12th CAEXPO themed on building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road aims at exploring more opportunities for deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN and strengthening the China-ASEAN cooperative relations.

Singapore is a hub along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and a pivot that links ASEAN and regional market. This promotion conference facilitated communication and exchanges between representatives of different professions, created cooperation opportunities, accelerated the upgrade of the China-ASEAN FTA and strengthened the China-Singapore economic and trade cooperation.

Mr. Teo Siong Seng, chairman of the Singapore Business Federation, said that Singapore and China have concluded a lot of major cooperation projects and the bilateral friendly relations would beyond doubt grow from strength to strength with the Belt and Road Initiative being implemented.

A total of 33 Singapore large-scaled companies and SMEs participated in the 12th CAEXPO, bringing distinctive products and services for the exhibition.

Madam Antonio from the Singapore Development Bank (SDB) Nanning branch gave high credits on the CAEXPO, who believes that the CAEXPO boasts unique charm and attracts exhibitors of Singapore every year. The event provides Singapore a highly-efficient platform for making new acquaintances with more business partners.
