Business Networking with Chinese Economic and Commercial Counselors of ASEAN Countries held

The 12th CAEXPO Business Networking with Chinese Economic and Commercial Counselors of ASEAN Countries was held at Nanning, Guangxi, on the afternoon of Sept 18.

This year's Networking was co-sponsored by Department of Asian Affairs of China's Ministry of Commerce, China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat and Guangxi Department of Commerce and co-organized by China International Contractors Association and Guangxi branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).

Chinese Economic and Commercial Counselors of ASEAN Countries attended the Networking and put their views also.

During the Networking, the counselors offered specific answers to enterprises in fields such as national conditions, tax conditions, policies, industries, market requirement, channels, labor services of ASEAN countries. They also put forward many good ideas and suggestions concerning international economic and capacity cooperation between Chinese enterprises and the ASEAN countries as well as the "going out" of equipment manufacturing industry.

Liu Jianchang, deputy general manager of the financing department of ICBC Head Office and leaders of ICBC branches in ASEAN countries introduced financial support policy of investing in ASEAN countries and the most common problems of capital risk.

He Enguang, vice president of CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Co., Ltd, shared the successful experience, possible challenges and problems in international capacity cooperation, equipment manufacture "going out" and project contracting, which sets a guiding light for private enterprises to enter ASEAN.

More than 100 entrepreneurs from companies such as China Railway Engineering Corporation, China International Water & Electric Corp., and China National Machinery Imp. & EXP. Corp. interacted and exchanged ideas with counselors in areas such as international capacity, equipment manufacturing, project contracting, finance, energy and environmental protection and advanced technology.

The Networking built a platform for the capacity cooperation between China and ASEAN countries and the "going out" strategy of equipment manufacturing and provided a strong impetus for Chinese enterprises to invest in ASEAN countries. It also offered help for the enterprises to identify the direction of investment, gain and open up market channels, how to be aware of investment policies, gain fund support, offered solutions for the difficulties met by the enterprises in investing in ASEAN and expanded broader room for development of Chinese enterprises there.
