Shanghu Lake Peony Fair in Changshu

The 21th Shanghu Lake Peony Fair will open in Changshu, a county-level city of Suzhou, located in East China’s Jiangsu province. The fair will last from March 25 to May 5.

Shanghu Lake is the best place to enjoy peonies in Changhu, with a scenic landscape, rich cultural resources and the largest peony garden south of the Yangtze River.

Covering an area of more than 100,000 square meters, the Shanghu Lake Peony Garden has over 50,000 peonies of nearly 300 varieties.

In addition to peonies grown in Changshu, there are peony varieties from Luoyang, Heze, Yancheng, Europe and America. They are displayed in several garden areas named China Peony Garden, International Peony Garden, Hill Peony Garden and more.

In recent years, Changshu has increased the varieties of peonies and expanded its planting scale. Changshu joins hands with Luoyang, Heze, Pengzhou and other scenic spots known for peonies and aims to establish a tourist brand that features a peony tour in China.
