SHANGHAI -- The Schoolmate Reunion, a seven-act drama by former schoolmates and members of the drama association of the China European International Business School, made its debut on April 22 and 23 at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center.

The play, created and funded independently by the cast members, relates the story of a school class reunion, which addresses hot social issues in a profound way seasoned with humorous anecdotes and jokes.

An enterprise board chairman, general managers and directors stepped out of their business empire and assumed the roles of director, producer and actors to experience the glamorous stage life.

They embedded their business and life’s philosophies into the play, and such catchwords as Japanese tsunami and nuclear radiation were adopted. The script underwent more than 30 modifications.

“Life is a great stage; we enjoyed ourselves enormously during the production process, and our artistic potentials are fully explored,” said Shen Jia, play director and board chairman of Wenzhou Tongren Technology Group.

There are over 30 associations in the CEIBS schoolmate club, enriching the lives of the former schoolmates, and above all, providing a good communication network.
