2010-2011 Huangshan Winter Tour Opening Ceremony was held in Tunxi district, Huangshan city on Dec 9, officially beginning the Huangshan winter tour season.

On the morning of December 9, the 2010-2011 Huangshan Winter Tour Opening Ceremony was held in Tunxi district, Huangshan city, officially beginning the Huangshan winter tour season. Meanwhile, a series of preferential policies for winter tours were simultaneously introduced. The ceremony was organized by the Anhui Provincial Tourism Administration and was undertaken by the Huangshan Tourism Board. Its themes are “Winter Anhui – Travel and Leisure Season”, “Snowy Anhui – Romantic Time” and “Wintry Huangshan and Colorful Huizhou”.

Hu Xuefan, director of Anhui Provincial Tourism Administration, Xu Jianmin, vice mayor of Huangshan and other leaders were present at the kickoff ceremony. Nearly 100 people, including domestic and foreign business representatives and media attended this event.

During the winter tour period, Huangshan Mountain (Yellow Mountain) scenic area will offer off-season prices, making the cost of an entrance ticket just 150 yuan, and a single-trip cable car ticket 65 yuan. Other scenic spots in the city are offering 20 percent discounts on the peak-season price. Tourists who come to Huangshan by air are also entitled to 20 percent discount on the off-season price of Huangshan Mountain scenic spot by showing their valid identity documents and board passes, making the cost of a ticket just 120 yuan.

Students, servicemen, minors, national moral models, the disabled persons and other special groups of people are entitled to a 50 percent discount of the peak-season price when they visit Huangshan during the winter tour period. Disabled persons are entitled to discounted ticket prices on presentation of a level 1~4 certificate of disability issued by the China Disabled Persons’ Federation.

During the winter tour period, Huangshan has also introduced eight excellent tourist routes including a hot springs golf leisure tour, a world heritage tour and a Huangshan Mountain sightseeing tour.
