China's new generation of national air traffic management system developed by the country itself passed State appraisal in Mianyang, Sichuan Province, on Monday.

The system has made breakthroughs in the core technology of the new generation of air traffic management, said Xia Xinghua, deputy chief of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

Thanks to the introduction of the system, the delayed landing rate of flights from East China to Beijing has dropped by nearly 20 percent, he said.
