The four-month-long winter tourism season got underway on Dec 1 and all scenic areas in Anhui province have published exciting new plans in a bid to attract visitors. In addition, the province has recommended six winter tourism routes to tourists.
Zhang Xueping, deputy director of Anhui Provincial Tourism Administration, said that the visitors would enjoy snow-capped landscapes in Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, Tianzhu Mountain and Taiping Lake in December when the first snows arrived. Central Anhui will focus on promoting its hot springs, while visitors to northern Anhui can enjoy Spring Festival with special local flavor, taking in the areas rich folk culture.
In addition, ticket prices of many scenic spots have been discounted. The ticket fee for Huangshan Mountain scenic has been lowered from 230 yuan/person to 150 yuan/person; for Jiuhua Mountain, the price has gone down from 190 yuan/person to 140 yuan/person, and for Tianzhu Mountain the price has decreased from 150 yuan/person to 110 yuan/person. Other scenic areas in Anhui province have also launched similar policies, with ticket fees for some even dropping by as much as 70 percent.
The six recommended routes are as follows:
1. Cultural and historical relics tour -6 days
Bozhou city—Shouxian county (Lu’an city)—Fengyang county (Chuzhou city)—Hefei city
2. Six-day golf tour
Golf—Huangshan Mountain—Hot spring—Hefei city
3. Three-day tour to the golden scenic spots Jiuhua Mountain—Huangshan Mountain
4. Six-day boutique tour around Anhui
Huangshan Mountain—Jiuhua Mountain –Taiping Lake—Hefei city
5. Six-day tour to Buddhist mountain and cultural relics
Hefei city—Qianshan county (Anqing city)—Huangmei Opera
6. Three-day tour to hot springs and the ancestral hall in central Anhui’s Chaohu city
