Three dead in blasting fuse explosion in E China

NANCHANG - Three women died and six people were injured Monday when an explosion ripped through a fuse plant in east China's Jiangxi Province, local authorities said.

The explosion occurred at about 1 pm at the legally-operated Xinshan Explosive Fuse Plant in Qiaoxi Village, Dongxiang County, said a statement from the county publicity department.

All the injured had been taken to hospital.

County work safety authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion.
