An international center for kids clothes was by the Tongxiang city in Zhejiang province at its day event held at the DEVENT Pavilion on Friday.

The center covering an area of 75,000 square meters will display and wholesale caps, sweaters and toys for kids, said Tongxiang Vice Mayor Qian Songhua.

"We hold the day event themed 'from the Expo to the world' at the Expo in a bid to let more people know Tongxiang," Qian said.

He said the Expo has made the city known more to the world due to so many visitors coming to it after their tour of the world event.

After three decades of development, Tongxiang has developed its eight pillar industries including silk, garments, textile, leather and chemical fibre. It has become China's largest woolen sweater distribution center, laying a solid foundation for its kids clothes center.

At the day event, the city also held a summit on "post-expo economy" with many economists and scholars in attendance to discuss ways of letting Tongxiang better involved into the world.
