The management of Crowne Plaza Shenzhen visited Shenzhen Autism Society Monday to show their caring to the vulnerable group and raise the public awareness before the Chinese traditional Mid-Autumn Festival.

Christian Buggelsheim, general manager of Crowne Plaza Shenzhen, and Chen Bin, deputy general manager, visited children at the society with moon cakes.

"We are really appreciated that Crowne Plaza and other communities have been always supporting autism group and caring our autistic children." said Fu Liying, press official of Shenzhen Autism Society.

"Because of their great efforts, the living condition of the autistic children in Shenzhen has been greatly improved in these years," she added.

Fu said Crowne Plaza Shenzhen has contributed a lot to advocate the social concerns on the autism society since it was put into operation in 2001.

In 2009, sponsored by Crowne Plaza, the society successfully launched a concert to raise fund for the autistic children, according to Fu.

The five-star hotel also organized many other activities for autistic children on holidays every year, such as inviting children to the hotel to make rice dumplings on every Dragon Boats Day, and inviting Santa from America to play with children on Christmas Days.

"It's really bad to see those children cannot get enough attention from our society. So that's why we did so much work to help Shenzhen Autism Society," said Christian Buggelsheim, adding that the hotel will organize a big event with Shenzhen Autism Society at its 10th anniversary next year.

"Of course, we will keep calling for social concerns and supporting them as much as we can in the future," he noted.
