The renovation of the Ru Porcelain Museum, the main stadium of the 1st China (International) Porcelain Cultural Festival is about to finish, reporters learned from the museum.

The museum was built in 1983 and located at the Ruzhou Confucian shrine. It is the only professional museum in China that mainly collects, exhibits and studies Ru porcelain. The museum has a wide collection, and is home to nearly 2,000 antiques above the national third level. Every year, tens of thousands of experts and tourists come here to visit.

The museum has undergone massive renovation in internal and external facilities, according to Zhang Yanheng, curator of the Ru Porcelain Museum, and every pavilion will have one or two infrared monitors when the whole job is done. The renovation is definitely going to be completed before Sept. 17.

During the festival, the museum will hold a Selected Artworks Exhibition on Ru porcelain, and showcase 18 Ruguan porcelain replicates and prize-winning porcelain-crafting works, etc.
