The primary school attached to Yunnan Normal University will celebrate their 70th anniversary later this year with a series of events to mark the occasion.

A school official said they will hold activities from October to November this year, and hold the celebration for the 70th birthday on November 20. The school will mark the event colorfully by showcasing data from the past 70-years and photos of school mates.

Situated near the Green Lake in Kunming, the primary school attached to the university was originally founded in 1940. It grew out of the school attached to Southwest Associated University, which was set up during the Anti-Japanese war.

The school carries forward its spirit of "Resolution and steadfastness,” and mixed with a style of "resolution, diligence, politeness and innovation."

Sitting in beautiful surroundings, the school has three sections Wenlin, Jinan and Jinniu, and is striving to continue its famous name.
