Fifty students poisoned by wild fruits

More than 50 primary school students were hospitalized for being poisoned by eating wild fruits on Tuesday, but none of the incidents was fatal, chinanews.com.cn reported.

Teachers at Jianxin Primary School in Sitang town of Nanning, capital of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, discovered the students were sick at 2 pm yesterday, and were told the sick children had eaten "leprosy fruits".

Some students with mild symptoms were sent home later yesterday, but other students remained hospitalized, the report said.
