Updated: 2009-09-17 16:30 SHANGHAI: Travelzen, the country's only fully web-enabled travel agent, announced Wednesday (September 16) that it will launch a travel blog contest for people taking trips within China. Targeting the hundreds of travel bloggers in China as well as English-writing bloggers, the contest named "Travelogues from the Middle Kingdom," will last 15 months. Winners will be determined by reader-driven online voting as well as a reality show-based TV format in later stages. Travelzen, launched in 2007, is the first online travel agent offering a full range of flights within the mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao, improving the accessibility and convenience of travel throughout these areas. The competition features over ¥500,000 worth of prizes, including a 100,000-yuan grand prize for the winner. After two elimination rounds, the final 10 competitors will journey across China and beyond in a reality-show format webcast, and their readers and fans will decide who comes out on top, said the organizers. |
