Shandong ready for National Games

Two months before the official kick off of the National Games,Shandonghas announced it’s ready for the nation's top sporting event.

A total of 33 sporting events will be held in 17 cities inShandongprovince. Venues in these cities have been built for the Games and preparation for communication, transportation, accommodation and security is complete.

The 11th National Games will be held in October2009 inJinan under the slogan "Harmonious China, Everybody's Games". The Games’ mascot, Taishan Boy, is a cartoon figure of rocks from China's Mount Taishan, which will bring fortune and health to Chinese people.
