The Chongqing police have caught a man who robbed a mobile phone store there on August 7, they announced on Monday. And, they said, the suspect used a toy gun to steal the phones.

The suspect, surnamed Hao, allegedly stole two mobile phones at about 1:00pm on the 7th. He asked the salesgirl for N97 and N95 phone models, and once they were on the counter, he pulled the toy gun out and said "Don't move. Wrap the phones up and give them to me."

"I was so terrified," the salesgirl later told police.

The man put the mobiles in his bag and quickly fled. By the time the police arrived, he had disappeared into the crowd. However, 39 hours later, the Chongqing police caught up with him.

Taking advantage of footage from security cameras, they quickly figured out what he looked like. And at 3:30 am on the August 9, the police received a tip about his location.

Acting quickly, they arrested the man, who then confessed to the crime - and to use a toy gun to commit it.
