Dow Chemical and Sinotrans cooperate to further improve China’s chemical logistics industry operating and safety standards

Dow Chemical, a world-leading diversified chemical company, and Sinotrans, China’s leading logistics company, signed a memorandum last Friday for strategic cooperation to work collaboratively for the improvement of China’s logistics industry operating and safety standards. Through the memorandum the two industry leaders will share expertise and technologies to further expand the adoption of international standards and perspectives within the domestic logistics industry. The partnership builds on both companies’ priority commitment to safe operations and will promote the development of domestic chemical logistics industry norms and standards to positively influence further industry development.

The memorandum outlines plans for the companies to work together on practical logistics improvement projects to accelerate progress in the industry’s safety standards, capabilities and efficiencies. Cooperative activities will include joint training sessions and seminars for project-related partners and personnel to build capabilities and understanding of global and local best practices.
