"It has contributed a lot to the development of the province, especially for the revitalization of the old industrial base," Chen commented. Lu Xin, Vice Minister of Education, said DUT has become a famed university with the support of the "985 Project" (a project to build world famous universities) and the "211 Project" (a project to build keynote universities and major disciplines).
