Updated: 2009-06-04 15:54 The world’s largest and most authoritative Chinese-Russian bilingual dictionary was recently published by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press. Two decades of hard work from Chinese and Russian linguists has resulted in the newly-edited dictionary, containing over 120,000 entries and a total of 10 million words. “2009 is the 60-year anniversary for the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, and the publication of such [a] dictionary can help [the] two countries carry out more sincere and rewarding cooperation in political, economic, trade, cultural, educational, scientific and technological, public health and other fields,” said Zhuang Zhixiang, president of Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press.
