The first phase of the Beijing Central Business District (CBD) East Widening Core Area will come into the market this June.

Beijing’s CBD area will be extended to the East Forth Ring Road along with Chaoyang North Road and east of the Tong Hui River, which will increase the area to 30,000 sq m,according to a Beijing governmental special conference on May 11, 2009.

Considering further boosts of the CBD’s industrial function and potential developmental spaces, the CBD will add 3.97 sq m to the area, from Chaoyang North Road northward to Nong Zhan South Road.

With the aim of becoming a modern top-end business zone, the CBD will keep its initial industrial position, placing importance on international finance and top business affairs.

The core area, running south from Jianguo Road, north to Guanghua Road, east to Zhenzhi Road, and west to East Third Ring Road, will occupy 1.85 million sq m, with a ground building area of 1.33 million sq m and 520 thousand sq m underground.

It will mainly house top-level international office buildings, along with several luxury business hotels, large international exhibition centers, top business centers, modern recreational facilities and central squares, making for a regional three-dimensional transport hub and modern skyscraper locale.

Focusing on the developmental concept of “Business Office”, the CDB core area will provide global services to top 500 world companies with the knowledge of advanced finance and insurance, cultural, media, and related services.

Apart from a “Business Office”, the CBD core area is also an organic life space with cultural amusements and shopping centers. It is not only skyscrapers, but an energetic modern zone for different life styles, 24 hours a day.
