Over 2800 graduates head for Shandong grass-root positions

Updated: 2009-05-25 18:44 2,823 graduates are expected to be selected to work at the grass roots in 15 cities of Shandong province, according to the province's announcement of selecting university graduates as grass-root officials issued on May 25. Selected students will work as the assistant to the secretary of the village Party branch or the assistant to the director of the village committee. Those who are qualified after working for two years will enjoy favorable policies when they apply as public servants, for government-sponsored institutions and as postgraduates within three years. The selection work, which starts on June 1 via online registeration, will go through six stages including individual registration、information check,exam,interview,political investigation,physical check and result publicity. More than 2500 university graduates were also selected to work at grass-root positions in Linyi and Binzhou last year. |
