Rushan products thriving in international market
By Gao Li (China Daily Shandong Bureau)
Updated: 2009-05-21 18:11 Japan, a country known for its high standard of food quality, has given the green light to peanut products made in Rushan, in Shandong province, by canceling regular food quality checks for Rushan products. Export volumes of agricultural products processed in Rushan have been soaring this year despite the financial crisis, with the volume in the first four months increasing by 17 percent compared with the same period last year, according to statistics from the city's Foreign Trade Bureau. In light of international requirements, the city has set up quality guarantee systems and food producing standards for 12 kinds of export-oriented agricultural products. Rushan green agricultural products are preferred by more and more overseas clients. To date, the export market has expanded to 57 countries and regions, including the EU, USA, Canada and Singapore. |
