Delegations from all over the world attend Taiwanese investment fair

The investment fair kicked off on May 13 with the aim to boost the economic development in western Taiwan Straits and establish Wuyi's brand image.

The 12th Western Taiwan Straits International Investment Fair was jointly organized by China International Chamber of Commerce and the State General Administration of Sport and Fujian Provincial Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Organizers said the main goal of the fair is to enhance regional economic coordination and cross-province cooperation and to boost economic development in western Taiwan Straits.

The fair, which is held in Wuyishan, has already attracted more than 5,000 leaders and guests and delegations from more than twenty countries in four provinces.

It is focusing on the investment and matchmaking projects in western Taiwan Straits and promoting the Wuyi brand particularly its tea products.

The fair will also feature the Brand China (Wuyi) Summit Forum and Creative Industry Exhibition.

The state council has recently passed a plan to support the development of the economic sector in western Taiwan Straits.

These new developments shall accelerate the development of the region, in both rural and urban areas.
