"We hope more people can get to know the history of Lancel and know better of the brand through this small exhibition."

A 110-year-old, black silk bag with ornamental ivory and mother of pearl, is the collection's oldest. Other bags displayed at the exhibition include: a black leather surrealist umbrella bag of 1937; beaded evening bag of 1950; lguana canvas bucket bag of 1980; and the first elsa bucket bag of 1987.

Following the tradition the new 2009 spring and summer collection reflects Lancel's pursuit of chic, casual and charming fashion.
