The opening ceremony of Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone held in Beijing

The opening ceremony of Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone (BTFTZ) Committee was held in Shun Yi,Beijing on April 30. This is the 10th Free Trade Zone in China approved by State Council, and becomes China’s first airport-based free trade zone. By connecting directly with north part of Beijing Capital International Airport landing platform, BTFTZ mainly promote the development of export-oriented economy. To realize the aim of cost reduction, it maximally optimizes resourceallocation for air freight and makes the clearance more efficient.

With general planning area of 5,944 square kilometers, BTFTZ could be divided into the northern zone and the southern zone, which located in the core position of capital airport economy area. It consists of four functional areas, Airport Operating Zone, Logistics & Storage Zone, Integrated Service Zone and Bonded processing Zone, and integrate all conduct comprehensive business such as bonded processing, bonded logistics, import and export trade.

BTFTZ integrates all the favorable policies and functions of China Customs special supervised area such as bonded area, export processing zone and bonded port zone. By using of taxation policy, customs polity, national inspection policy and foreign exchange policy, Chinese products in this area can be madeduty drawback and foreign products can be carried out tax-free. BTFTZ will check for acceptance the first phase in electronic supervision by the end of this June.

BTFTZ acts as a well-developed transport hub, for five expressway including Airport Expressway, 2nd Airport Expressway, North Airport Expressway, 6th Ring Road, Beijing –chengde Expressway surround BTFTZ; four city-level highways of National Highway 101, Shunping highway, Shuntong Highway, Airport Side Road, and airport light rail and M15 light rail are also in the vicinity of BTFTZ. The advantaged location will surely bring in numerous business opportunities.
