Two killed, four injured in apartment blast in Henan

Two people were killed and four others injured in a blast that ripped through an apartment in central China's Henan Province Thursday.

The accident took place at about 11:28 p.m. when a strong explosion hit an apartment in a residential building belonging to the power industry bureau of Hebi City, the municipal public security bureau said.

Two people were killed at the site and four others were wounded and rushed to the hospital.

An initial investigation indicated that a household gas tank blast in the room triggered the fatal accident. Police were further investigating the case.
