College student re-invents the chopstick, with a twist

A young student won 10,000 yuan ($1,460) from the State's college students innovative experiment program for creating chopsticks with new designs.

Che Chunzi, a first-year student at the Sichuan Academy of Arts, created the chopsticks that look like a necklace. It can be hung as a fashionable decoration and to eat a meal.

"I designed chopsticks with a fixed pivot point so children could easily use them and I made them into the shape of tweezers for foreigners to use with fun," the student said.
