Families drive tractors on expressway to get home

A migrant family was involved in a serious traffic accident after they tried to drive their tractor home for the spring festival.

They and another family were driving two tractors on the expressway in Jiangdu, Jiangsu province, last Saturday, all the way to Henan province.

They decided to drive the tractors because they were unable to buy scarce train tickets.

They couldn't read the traffic signs and they accidentally entered an expressway when a cargo truck struck one tractor, seriously injuring one of the drivers and his wife.
