The Jinjiang Hotel is investing 400 million yuan to build a 26-storey building in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province.

Upon completion of the building within two or three years, the Jinjiang Hotel, which is currently southwest China’s first five-star hotel, will become a platinum five-star hotel and another landmark building in Chengdu, said Cao Lanjian, General Manager of the Jinjiang Hotel.

Situated by the Jinjiang River, the new building whose height will be nearly 100 meters will be connected to the hotel’s existing main building.

Designed in line with the standards of an international platinum five-star hotel, the new building will have 260 guest rooms, a spacious three-storey parking lot, multi-function dining hall and a conference wing.

After the completion of the building, the Jinjiang Hotel, which has been Chengdu’s landmark building for five decades, will have nearly 1,000 rooms and become the largest hotel in Chengdu.
