(NYSE: IT), the world’s leading provider of research and analysis on the global information technology industry.

Participants to the summit are from sectors such as finance, logistics, communications, manufacturing, retail sales, aviation, chemical industry, foodstuff, pharmaceuticals and IT.

Many Fortune 500 firms including General Electric, Zurich Insurance, British Airways, Carrefour, Barclays Bank, Siemens, Sony Electronics and NTT Japan, will attend the summit.

Leaders from the outsourcing associations from ten nations including what we call Golden brick Nation, namely Brazil, Russis, India and China, such as NASSCOM, BRSSCOM, RUSSOFT, will attend the summit.

Some 50 leading outsourcing vendors from 14 national service outsourcing base cities in China including Beijing, Dalian, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Jinan have confirmed to attend the summit. Some of them are among China’s top 20 firms in terms of annual outsourcing turnover.

In brief, it will be the most influential and highest-level international conference pertaining to outsourcing, organizers said.

The reason for Chengdu to be the host city for the summit is due to its agreeable environment, advantages and achievements in outsourcing, organizers said.

Chengdu, a city has a population of 10,600,000 and an area of 12,400 square kilometers is designated as a centre of science, commerce and finance as well as the major hub of transportation and telecommunications in western China.

With 2,500 years of history, Chendu boasts rich cultural and tourist attractions, including the Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Jinsha site, Sanxingdui Museum, Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage, and Wuhou Temple, to name but a few. Chengdu was entitled “the best tourist city in China” by the National Bureau of Tourism in 2007. Chengdu is the city with the most giant pandas in the world, and also considered as their home town.

Sichuan spicy food is another attraction for tourists and business people alike.
